This change in employees' work habits in the past decade has provided us with this new pop-in office solution. We are seeing this trend with companies like Regus, Davinci Virtual, and Servcorp. They are pioneering the virtual office experience by allowing companies to immediately get to work without the startup capital required to get a new space and everything that comes with starting a business.
Virtual offices, or office hoteling, allows someone to rent a desk for a specified term. Another perk is that this hoteling format usually comes with a local phone number and address where someone is on hand to receive packages when you are out in the field. In addition to renting an office, you also have the option to receive clients or have meetings in on-site conference rooms.
Not all companies can function by following the office hoteling principle. It might not work for a company that handles confidential information and documents or a company in which a stable office space is a must. However, it is beneficial for a work environment that requires lots of traveling.
Office hoteling accommodates and supports worker mobility. The employees who need to travel can work for a few weeks from the office and away from it other times. It’s a hassle to travel back and forth from an office to a site area, and office hoteling saves your employees time and energy, making them more productive.
